This work did not begin with writing.
For many years, my public work lived in the language of wellbeing and self-love, through coaching, mentoring, study, and practice. I worked closely with how ideas about healing, resilience, and personal responsibility are taught, absorbed, and repeated.
Over time, it became clear that much of what is offered as care asks people to adapt to conditions that remain unquestioned.
Writing became the place where I could sit and explore honestly.
The blogs and upcoming essays on this site reflect a shift away from offering guidance and towards inquiry. The writing isn't shaped by opposing the wellbeing world, but from working within wellbeing close enough to understand what it offers and where it falls short.
I no longer write to help, fix, or improve. I write to notice, name, and examine.
Berlina is a writer working at the intersection of self-love, conditioning, and power. Her blogs and essays explore how emotional language is used and misused to shape behaviour, responsibility and silence.
Questioning, reflecting on lived experiences and challenging societal expectations.
